Running Scenario Based Training with Rory Miller

Running Scenario Based Training with Chiron Training & Rory Miller

April 9th & 10th, 2016

The first time offered in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States: welcome to the only hands-on reality based self-defense scenario training course available to civilians. Run by Rory Miller & Chiron Training, you will gain invaluable experience on three levels: personal, professional (as a practitioner), and instructor. The value to this course isn't effectively measured by cost. Most people who train in any aspect of personal protection never have the chance to find out how they react in a real violent encounter. This is a good thing, really.

Many practitioners do, however; participate in environmental & situational scenarios, which is an important aspect of training. Environmental and situational training has a significant number of known elements by necessity of the experience. True scenario training removes as much of the pre-knowledge as possible. This creates the opportunity to find out how you think and make decisions in an authentically unpredictable & potentially violent encounter. As an instructor or practitioner, understanding the difference between situational/environmental training & scenario based training is critical. Even more? It is essential you understand the impact this has on the participant both physically & psychologically and how to debrief the experience in a way that produces discovery and growth.
